Short rant on ziggurats

ziggurats were cool as hell but they just cant compete with the sheer engineering brilliance that went into pyramids. Ziggurats cheated a bit by having multiple flat levels connected by semi-sloped edges. This made them much easier to construct and design, since a single coherent edge did not need to be maintained from base to peak of the structure. Ziggurats are, at best, a practical implementation of pyramids. But if its sheer coolness youre going for, then pyramids are just the bees knees, yo. Ziggurats walked so pyramids could run. I'm sorry but any structure where you could LITERALLY BUTTSLIDE down from peak to base is just fucking cooler than anything else.

You can absolutely stand on a pyramid if you have good balance. Remind me again how many ziggurats are considered wonders of the ancient world? Zero sticks in my mind...
Also we don't need a ton of concept art and photoshop to show off our pyramids because they are better engineered than ziggurats and therefore more of them are still standing AND are in better condition.
Also unlike ziggurats, pyramids are still relevant!

Ziggurats were ahead of their time. The Sumerians were big brained "niggas".
